Critic's Review
I like outback when I'm in the mood for some prime rib, but today I just wanted to try the Nashville Hot Wings. I'm not up on this "hot chicken" trend, and I've been seeing ads for the wings. There's no take-out option on their web app; just curbside. I never do curbside except at Sonic, mainly because so I can see the interior of the restaurant. But I had to do curbside today.
Unlike other venues, they don't have a way to tell them that you've arrived. You tell them what kind of car you have and I guess they scope out the curbside area with a camera.
I had a couple of stops so they I didn't expect them to be piping hot; wings shouldn't have to be hot out of the oven to be good.
When I opened the package they seemed a bit overcooked; I was planning on having a few and them finishing them up later after smoking them for a few hours.
They did honor my request for extra blue cheese, in spades. Also included were a bunch of celery. Celery doesn't really travel well, but it wasn't too bad.
I didn't like the wings. I don't like wings with rub; buffalo sauce is liquid but this stuff was dusty. And not very hot; spice wise that is; I also think they were overdone, which didn't improve the chances of me liking them.
